Our Weekend Guests

Eliza loved holding Ella, and so was good at it!

Smile baby girl!

Pooped from a fun-filled day.

Eliza was such a good helper!
This past weekend my good friend Brittany and her six-year-old daughter Eliza came to visit us. We spent a low-key weekend hanging out at home, with movies, a little shopping, and a ride on the 'El.' It was great to introduce them to Ella, and we're so glad they made the trip!

Seven Weeks Old!

A real smile!

Today Ella is seven weeks old, and she's continuing to grow and change right before our eyes! We're estimating her weight at around 10-11 pounds and she's growing out of her clothes every week. She's also starting to 'talk' to us by cooing and is focusing more and more on what's going on around her. It's so much fun to see her developing into what her dad calls "a real person":)

Six Weeks Old!

Finally meeting Great Grandma P!

Meeting Cousin Cole and Aunt Lorri.

Ella and her Great Grandpa P.

First of all... I apologize for our absence this week. Jeritt was traveling for work and we decided it was a good opportunity to make a quick, last-minute trip to Iowa. Ella was able to meet Great Grandma and Great Grandpa P., Aunt Lorri, Uncle Todd, and Cousin Cole, as well as spend time with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Tim, Grandma Donna, Aunt Jill, Uncle Adam, and cousins Ava and Reid.We had a great week and Ella was a wonderful traveler - but she's happy to be home with her dad again:)

A Hat Fashion Show!

This is what happens when a Hawkeye moves to Texas.

In addition to pink clothes adorned with ruffles, it seems people love to buy hats for baby girls. Ella has received quite a few, and I decided it was a good day for a hat fashion show. I was testing her patience, so if you happened to give her one of the hats in which she's scowling, please don't be offended. She was simply annoyed with  me:)

She's Awake!

In the last week or so Ella seems to have really awakened, with more and more 'alert' time during the day. It's so much fun to see her smile, coo, and start to develop her personality!

Our Sweet Valentine

Today is Valentine's Day as well as Ella's five-week birthday. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Venteicher for the Valentine's bear! Hope you all enjoy the day!

A Laid-Back Weekend

A happy bath!

Jackie and Kyle came to visit!

Ella and her friend Bennett (she's got some growing to do).

Bundled up for a walk.

The cold spell finally broke this past weekend and we were able to get out and run some errands, including our first walk (to Starbucks, of course!). We also enjoyed the company of friends both Friday and Saturday night. And we capped it off with a successful bath on Sunday -  no tears!
