Weekend Visitors

This weekend, we celebrated Aunt Erin's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa C., as well as with Erin's friends, John and Carol, who were visiting from England.

Each week we get together with a group of moms and kids for a play date. This week, we hosted. Five toddlers and three babies always results in chaotic fun!

Every morning after breakfast, Jack grabs his fire truck and stands at the couch, while he takes care of his daily duty.

These two love kringla, a Norwegian pastry made by Great Grandma P.

John and Carol brought a special book for Ella and Jack.

It wouldn't be a birthday without cake!

Happy Easter!

What a great weekend! Between the gorgeous weather and the extra-long fun (Jeritt was off on Friday), we really enjoyed ourselves. On Friday we drove to an indoor water park to spend the day and night with some friends and their two girls. Ella and Jeritt had an absolute blast - hitting all of the big slides! Jack was a little less enthused, but still enjoyed most of the day. Clearly they were exhausted by all of the fun, as Ella took her first nap in more than six months when we returned home on Saturday! Today we had a great Easter, starting with pancakes in the morning followed by our own Easter egg hunt at the park. We were joined by friends for a delicious lunch, and then watched Frozen and ended the day with a final walk around the neighborhood. Happy Easter!

So much fun, but so tired and hungry!

Random bath time fun.

Ella and her friend, Mia, had a lot of fun together at the water park.

We even managed to see the Easter Bunny on Saturday.

Ella finally found hers in the play room.

Checking out the goods!

Spring has Sprung (Sort of)

While it's not represented here in photos, this past week we finally enjoyed some real spring weather at the park! It's supposed to get cold again tomorrow, so at least we had a few nice days (sigh). Over the weekend, Aunt Jill, Ava, and Reid came out to visit Jace, Jeff, and Kristin, so we got to spend time with them, too. As always, the cousins had a lot of fun! Today we colored Easter eggs and hung around home. Let's hope spring returns by next Sunday so that we can hunt for those eggs!

Yes, that's underwear on her head. Don't , worry it's clean.

I told her to wash her face and she was so proud of herself for creating this (note the pizza sauce still on her face).

Yogurt makes great hair gel.

Dr. Jack in the house!

Uh oh, it got stuck!

He wanted to color Easter eggs, too.
