Happy New Year

Jack may have just mastered "Jingle Bells" (see video below), but we're winding down from Christmas and enjoying a relaxing start to the new year. Ella was still on break from school this week, so we stayed at home quite a bit and celebrated New Year's Eve with some friends and their kids. The pictures below capture a few family moments from Christmas, as well as our trip to the Field Museum today. Since we're finally getting snow this afternoon, I'd better wrap this up, as we have two very excited kiddos that want to make snow angels!

A Frozen Christmas

You may have noticed that I failed to post an entry last week. We celebrated our first round of Christmas over the weekend in Iowa, and I decided to wait and post all of the Christmas photos at once. Therefore, there are a ton of pictures here, and I didn't caption most of them due to the sheer amount. However, to recap, we had an amazing Christmas, both in Iowa and on the actual day in Chicago. We got to see both sides of the family, and we had a great time together. On Christmas Eve, the four of us went to Winter Wonderland, and then later that day we decorated cookies for Santa. He made a pretty nice appearance that night, as the kids woke up to some fun new presents. As most of you are probably aware, Ella is a Frozen fan, and this year it was a Frozen Christmas. From a suitcase to a watch to lip gloss to the actual Elsa dress, we've been on a repeat of "Let it Go" for days. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday as well, and we wish you a happy New Year!

I realize this isn't a great photo of Jack, but I think it's hilarious.
