Two Weeks of Fun

We've had a couple of great weeks, with visitors, warm weather, and lots of friends. Last weekend, Aunt Erin, Uncle Martin, and Alice traveled from St. Louis to visit. We celebrated Erin's birthday and kept Alice entertained with our crazy chaos. On Monday night, Jack attended his first Chicago Cubs game. It was a beautiful night, and we had a great time. Jeritt was out of town this weekend, but we passed the time quickly with t-ball, pool time with Jace and Finley, and a sleepover with one of Ella's friends.

Sewers are Jack's latest interest. It's easy to spot him at the park.

Not to be left behind, "Guys, wait up!"

Park time with friends.

Maeve loves her new Paw Patrol bike helmet.

We ran into friends at the park, and Ella got to hold their baby, Lily.

On the way home from the doctor's office. Strep throat again...

Erin, Martin, and Alice came to visit!!

Jeritt showing Alice how to "blue steel."

It was really hard for Ella to keep her distance from Alice while she was under the weather.

Alice was pretty entertained by our crew.

Cousin reading time.

Maeve and her friend, Holly.

Jack wrote a recipe at preschool. Ironically, he chose chicken pot pie, which is his least favorite food. Note it says, "serve to family," not "enjoy with family."

We're trying to enhance our outdoor play space, but for now, these guys are content with rocks and water.

While I was distracted making dinner, Maeve took the opportunity to "wash" all of her shoes!

Jack and I attended a Cubs game with his friend, Hazel, and her mom. It was a gorgeous night for a baseball game!

His favorite part might have been eating ice cream out of a tiny Cubs helmet.

And then wearing the helmet.

Wrigley Field has added a fun park area outside of the stadium, and the kids loved running around.

Ella made Maeve a crown and declared her Queen of Everything.

The Queen needs a nap.
Chef Jack posing with his recipe.

He reminds me of Papa with his cargo shorts and tall socks.

We went out for a family dinner one night and Ella wanted to get dressed up. She came down wearing this top, which she found in the closet. When I explained that a 3T dress for Maeve, she understood why it was difficult to put on.

Her second outfit. She looks so grown up!

Maeve has a friend from gymnastics named Anya, and this week we had a play date together. The girls really hit it off, and were so cute together!

First t-ball game of the season!

Maeve really wanted to play t-ball, too.

We had a great afternoon with Jace and Finley. It was a fantastic day of splashing around in their pool. Crazy how much a little bit of water, some toys, and some sunshine can entertain them!

Just relaxing in her hot tub.

Cousins!

Spring is Here!

We may have started the week with snow, but by Friday we were finally able to hit up the park. Hopefully Spring is finally here! It was a fun weekend, with a visit from Aunt Jill and Reid, and play time with Finely and Jace. Ella and Jack started t-ball on Saturday, and today I met a good friend in Michigan for the day while Jeritt and the kids enjoyed the nice weather.

After snow earlier in the week, 60 degrees felt like popsicle weather!
Maeve on the move.

Roller skating at the park.

This guy is a tree climber.

Cleaning out the garage. With a shop vac, of course.

These guys helped make dinner.

Maeve enjoyed it!

Mermaid Maeve and her suitcase full of books.

Dinner at Potbelly while Dad was traveling.

Maeve loves these red shoes so much that she squeezes her feet into them, even though they're too small.

Bubbles with her friend, Mason.

Jack recently discovered paper airplanes.

We went to a Mexican restaurant on Friday night, and Maeve was a huge fan.

First t-ball practice!

Aunt Jill and Reid came to visit!

Maeve and Finley are quite the pair. They sure are cute together!

Press-on nails. They lasted 10 minutes.

Cousin picture, just missing Ava!

These moments are the best.
