As a result of Ella's urinary tract infection a few months ago, her doctor ordered further tests to confirm that it was indeed a case of bad luck and not a sign of a problem with her urinary system. I had been dreading the tests for a while, and while they weren't pleasant by any means (an ultrasound and x-ray with a side of catheter insertion), Ella did great. Grandma C. was also a big help, with Jeritt unavailable due to work travel and my pregnancy preventing me from being by Ella's side during the x-ray. And the next day we heard great news from her doctor - the tests were clear! After the appointment, Grandma C., Ella, and I drove back to Iowa for a few days while Jeritt was away. We were able to spend time with Ella's great grandparents, including having some fun on the farm with Great Grandpa and Grandma P's pony and kitties. We drove back on Saturday morning to enjoy the rest of the weekend with Dad, and had a great day today, including brunch with our good friend, Sara; a walk to our favorite Italian ice joint; and a stop at the park.
