I'm going to take a "page" from my best friend, Allison's blog, and use this post to capture the current interests of Ella and Jack. As Allison noted, it will be hard to recall these things even months down the road, so I'm going to take advantage of our blog to write it down.

Ella's Interests:

• Frozen. Yes, it's been a year since she first saw this movie, but her interest in it has not dissipated. As you've seen, she regularly wears her Elsa dress, and also enjoys books, puzzles, lip gloss, dolls, etc. And singing the songs.
• Dress-up of any kind. Thanks to her new dress-up wardrobe, Ella can go from ballerina to doctor in a matter of minutes.
• Her baby dolls and Moo Cow. She still says she wants to a mommy when she grows up.
• Art. It's her favorite activity at school and she loves all of her "projects" at home, too.
• Books. She'll listen to books for hours, and lately enjoys a little bedtime "reading" on her own.
• Desserts. Ella and Jack have clearly inherited my sweet tooth and would do about anything for a sugar-filled food. However, she has little to no interest in most meats, vegetables, and a long list of other foods...
• Swimming. We just started another round of swimming lessons and Ella is a fish! Jack, however, is not, and would rather cling to Dad than splash around in the pool.

Jack's Interests:

• Cars, trucks, tractors, etc. Jack will look at his truck picture book for an impressive amount of time for a two-year-old, and his favorite toys are those with wheels. When we're out and about he's constantly pointing out the garbage trucks, backhoe loaders, and skid steers.
• Brownie. His trusty monkey lovey is still his absolute favorite, though we're trying to keep it in the crib more during the day. As soon as he begins to get sleepy, he goes to find Brownie.
• His crib. The boy loves to sleep and lounge. He'll lay in his crib and talk and sing for quite a while before falling asleep, and is in no hurry to get out when he wakes up. One morning this week he refused to get out of bed and kept saying, "I go night-night." I let him look at his truck books and lounge around for almost a half an hour before making him get out for breakfast.
• Snacks. If someone is eating something, he's instantly aware and begging for food. Like his sister (and his mama), Jack shares an affinity for sweets.
• Jumping. He loves the trampoline and even jumping on the ground, especially in circles.
• Snuggling. After having such a squirmy firstborn, we really enjoy having a snuggler in the family. At bedtime and nap time Jack even asks to snuggle. I sure hope it lasts!

We don't normally make them wear helmets around the house. They had been riding their scooters.

We braved the blizzard and made it to swim lessons.
