Post-Vacay

To say we all wished we were still on vacation this week would be quite the understatement. The kids especially were missing the warm weather and beach. From wearing swim suits around the house to asking to go swimming, to discussing our summer plans, they were still in vacation mode. Thankfully, we had a fun weekend that got their minds off the fact that it's still 35 degrees in April. We hung out with our neighbor friends on Friday night. Ella's Saturday included her favorite volunteer project (sewing quilts), a play date with a friend, and her first sleepover! I was more nervous than she was, and she did great. However, very little sleep occurred, so we convinced her to take her first nap in probably four years today:) Last night was boy's night for Jack and Jeritt, as they attended a Chicago Bulls game with Uncle Jeff and Jace. Poor Maeve didn't have as much action, but she did enjoy watching "Frozen" for the first time.

Neighbor nights are the best!

You can tell who the biggest TV fans are.

Ella created a microphone out of a toilet paper holder.

She got to teach Dad how to use a sewing machine!

Finished project!

These cuties attended their first Bulls game!

Snacks

Jack loved the cheese popcorn.

Dress-up!

We had to wake these sleepy heads after two hours of napping on Sunday. They weren't ready to get up.

Earlier in the week, I was doing vacation laundry, and Maeve found her swim suit and put it on.

Making a machine in his swim trunks.

Vacation makes you so tired, you fall asleep in the car at 9 a.m....

Super Maeve!

Jack wanted to bake all week, so we finally made Fruity Pebble bars on Friday.

She really wanted to go outside, and picked her most sensible shoes.
