Week 7 of Quarantine

We're in our seventh week of quarantine. There have been a few nice days that we've soaked up outside; however, Chicago has still been experiencing cooler temps and even some snow a few weeks ago. Our neighborhood sidewalks get congested, so we've been trying to find green space to enjoy.

Building an outdoor cat house for Simon.

He likes it.

Ella made a countdown to summer.

Our first forest preserve - it was glorious to be outside and explore!

Easter Day

Hunting for eggs.

Maeve's first and last preschool Zoom call. She's not into online school.

Jack working in his "office."

Ella and I used some pink shampoo for a nice change.

We made crepes - sooo good!

Three Amigo cookies with Dad.

FaceTiming with Grandma.

These two both love to spend time under the sink.

A warrior.

Score - an empty parking lot to ride our scooters in!

Daily reading

A Zoom call with 42 first graders. Yikes.

I introduced Ella to Mystery Matter (cornstarch and water).

Another forest preserve.

Learning to roller skate.

These two play matching multiple times a day. They're both very competitive.

I showed Jack how to make his bike into a motorcycle with playing cards on the spokes. He loved it.

This girl is officially on two wheels!

Ella transformed her little sister into Timothy, a boy.

A walk by the river.

Dressing up Dad's old Alf doll.

Really, Chicago?!

Yoga time.

A rare outing with Starbucks - so exciting!

Playing ping pong.

A beautiful hike.

Ella's log crossing.

I took the safer route.

Hoisting herself up.
