Seven Years

Tomorrow marks seven years since Jeritt and I were married. I knew we had a great future ahead of us on that day, but I never could have imagined what an amazing little family we would create. Last night we went to dinner to celebrate, and today we took the kids to the beach in the morning. What a great weekend together!

Jack was very excited to play a little golf.  When we told them we were going to go golfing, he ran to Jeritt's golf bag and was very upset that we didn't bring it with us.

Hole in one!

Ella put her entire rock collection in her backpack to take along to the park. Don't worry, I didn't let her leave the house with her undies tucked into her skirt.

A Saturday morning picnic at the park.

A seven-year anniversary selfie in the cab!

A morning at the beach. It was fairly cool, but the kids had a blast.

Ella has been playing a lot of "Frozen" lately. She calls herself "Queen Elsa of Chicago."

Instead of refereeing this one, I just documented it on film. See how a game of checkers went down between the two of them.

He's no fool, he knows when it's time to bolt.

Ella put on my clothes and pretended to be Mommy. She proceeded to inform Jack in her "mommy" voice that she was going to dinner with Daddy and that he had to stay home with the babysitter.

Abby and Brian Got Hitched!

I hope ya'll are ready for some photos - because I have quite a few this week! (Please note my new Texas terminology, it catches on quick). On Thursday morning we flew to Austin, Texas, to celebrate the wedding of Aunt Abby and the now-official Uncle Brian. It's crazy how much fun we packed into a few days, but we did! Swimming, parks, a museum, nails, hair, rehearsal dinner, fun downtown, and of course, the big wedding. The kids did great traveling and we all had a blast celebrating Abby and Brian with the family and friends that made the trip to Austin. I'm sad it's over, but so happy to have another new brother!

Jack packing for the trip.

Ella is excited to have her own boarding pass (and Jack may have just pulled her hair).

Boarding the plane!

Pooped after a long day of travel.

Feeding the fish and ducks at Hula Hut in Austin.

Brian, Dad (and his groovy shades), and Jeritt at Hula Hut.

Gals getting their nails done.

Lorri and Grandma, who didn't want her photo taken.

They found a Starbucks in Austin.

Jeritt, Papa, and Ella visited a children's museum on Friday.

Looking so handsome for the rehearsal dinner!

Enjoying the beautiful home of Brian's parents at the rehearsal dinner.

Wedding day hair-dos!

Such a beautiful bride!

The first dance - a two-step of course:)

I love being their big sister.

Abby and Barbara, Brian's wonderful mom!

They finally found wedding cake the next morning.

Killing some time at Zilkers Park - Jack with the pigeons.

Riding the train.
