Santa Visit

Santa made an early trip to Chicago, and our family got to see him! The kids were pretty excited, and told him what they wanted for Christmas. Also this weekend, we (I mean Jeritt), hosted our 8th annual holiday party. Ever brimming with energy and enthusiasm, he put a ton of work and time into the event, and it showed. Everyone had a great time!
I think Jeritt might be the most excited to see Santa.

Ella gave him a big hug as soon as she saw him.

Jack was pretty happy to see the big guy, too.

More Maeve faces.

Sister time.

Singing at the nursing home.

A few times a day I find them playing so nicely together!

I love this photo because it pretty much sums up the constant chaos in our house: Ella and Jack fighting/playing loudly, Ella wanting Maeve so badly to be her little princess, and Maeve completely unaware of what's in store for her.

Lots of fort-making these days.

Jack is Three!

It was a big week for our family, with the main event being our little man's birthday. Jack is three years old! He got to celebrate quite a bit, with two parties, two Paw Patrol cakes, and lots of friends and family. We ordered pizza and ate cake on Wednesday night, then I hosted a little play date party with his buddies on Thursday morning, and we wrapped up the celebrations with a joint birthday party with his cousin, Jace, on Saturday. While Jack received lots of great gifts, he was most excited about the cake, and he definitely got to eat a lot this week. Jeritt scored tickets to the big Iowa football game on Saturday night, so Grandma C. flew out to hang out with us and celebrate Jack's birthday. On Sunday we resumed soccer after a long break, with Jack finally getting to join in the action. They both had a blast and are ready for next week!

Maeve's new onesie from Aunt Annette. Ella wants one just like it:)

A birthday breakfast - waffle with a candle.

His first Paw Patrol cake.

Jack's buddies at his party.

My first solo errand with all three - Jack was great help!

Jack's Paw Patrol cake made by Grandma C - she's amazing!

She made one for Jace, too, and even brought them on the airplane!

Opening presents.

Hawkeye boys (don't mind Jack's grouchy face).

Ella and her new mermaid tale, something she'd been wanting for a while that Grandma C. made for her.

First day of soccer!

Jack's first time at soccer, he loved it!
