Dan and Jamie's Wedding

This past weekend marked the official start of our busy wedding season, and on Friday we drove back to Iowa to celebrate the marriage of Uncle Dan and Aunt Jamie! As always, the kids had a blast with their cousins, Ava and Reid. Jack especially had fun, truly joining the action this time. One of their favorite activities was taking Gator rides with Grandpa Al, they couldn't get enough! It was a short trip, but a good one. Congrats to Dan and Jamie, we are so happy for them!

Jack was getting crabby in the car so I gave him Jeritt's phone. Turns out he just had some calls to make.

Before we left on Friday, the kids and I went to the park and were greeted by special guests - the Chicago Fire Department! It was so cool to see how great they were with the kids, showing them the truck and letting them try on helmets.

Fun in the Sun

Another gorgeous weekend! With Jeritt away for a bachelor party, the kids and I found some fun activities to keep us busy. On Saturday morning we met friends at the Garfield Park Conservatory. It was a cool place, and the kids had a blast together. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing in the pool on the roof. Aunt Erin spent most of Sunday with us, enjoying lunch out and time at the sprinkler park. We had a great weekend, but were ready to see Daddy today!

Happy Memorial Day!

Finally, a weekend of fantastic weather! And boy did we take advantage of it. Parks, BBQs, lots of walks, our first trip to Scooter's this season (our favorite ice cream place), and spending time on the roof. May and June are pretty busy for us, so it was nice to enjoy a weekend at home.

While I was cleaning out a closet Ella came across her Halloween costume from a couple of years ago. She thought it still fit great.

Being goofy.

Dad was tired and Ella and Jack took advantage of it.

We set up the pool!

When I was in Iowa recently I found some old photos. Maybe Jack does look like me?

I sent this photo to Jeritt and he thought it was Ella for a minute.

Fun at the sand box.
