Ella T-ball and Jack jumping videos

Summertime Fun

It was another beautiful weekend here, with parks, pools, and friends.

Real men go shirtless with rain boots.

Playing in the girls' room.

A little Bob Ross time.

Ella and her friends making jewelry at a volunteer project we did together.

Ella did this slide all by herself. She's pretty brave!

A photo from last weekend's fireworks.
Another stop by the chicken's on the way to the park.

Jack and Ella are getting ready for a ride.

A little golf at burger fest.
Jack was a huge fan of the inflatable jumpy area.

Playing at the pool. I assure you that Ella is not trying to drown Jack.

A new way to play soccer.  Ella was the goalie...

Happy 4th of July

It was another beautiful weekend in Chicago, and without many plans, we enjoyed a relaxing few days, mostly spent outside. The highlight of the weekend was definitely our trip to Maggie Daley park downtown. We'd heard that it is amazing, with the caveat, that it's also pretty intense and easy to lose children. Both are true. It was hands down the coolest park we've ever seen, and the kids loved it and could have stayed all day. However, after losing Jack twice, my stress level was too high to risk a third panic attack, so we called it a day and picnicked on the way home. Earlier in the week, we said our dreaded goodbyes to Uncle Martin and Aunt Erin, as they packed up and moved to St. Louis. We're going to miss them more than words can express, but we're excited for their next adventure and look forward to visiting them in their new city!

Ella wanted to enjoy her Starbucks in the swing
So did Jack. Unfortunately there was only 1 swing like Ella's.
First trip to Maggie Daley Park.  This place is awesome...

Picnic in the park after Maggie Daley

On Sunday we visited some friends for a BBQ. Jack was a natural with their saxophone.

Teething hurts...
Ella wanted to bring her baby to Costco, so I told her she had to use her doll carrier. I had Maeve in my carrier, and we received a lot of attention!

Maeve ready to roll!

Hanging out with Uncle Martin and Aunt Erin the day before they moved.

Jack dipped his donut in his water, just like Uncle Martin dipped his in his coffee.

Ella got some new dress-up clothes. Fancy!

Mmmmm.... grass.

Playing baseball!
