Pool Party!

Jack's six-month appointment was on Monday, and the entire family squeezed into the exam room with the doctor and an intern to learn that our little guy weighs 14 pounds, 11 ounces, and is nearly 26 inches long. He continues to be long and lean, and is growing and developing right on schedule. I'd told Ella that we had to take Jack to the doctor, and all day she kept saying "Jack go to hospital," so I think she was relieved to see that all was well with her baby bro, even commenting that "Jack be fine," once we left the doctor's office. Although it's still unseasonably cool, it warmed up enough today to justify pulling out the pool. Ella has been asking to go to the beach daily, so even though we were missing the sand and the waves, she seemed satisfied to splash around. Lately, Jack has been rolling and inching to get around, and is pretty much sitting up on his own. He's also full of laughter, and it's the sweetest sound! We'll try to post a video soon.

Thanks for the Cubs duds, Aunt Erin!

All in attendance for Jack's six-month appointment.

Ella, Jack, and Jack's buddy, Logan.

Imagine his smile when he finally gets ice cream, too!

Not a great photo, but I had to capture that chocolate ice cream face.

We were trying to capture how anxious he is for his bedtime bottle. He refused it for months, but now he can't get his hands on it fast enough.

Just a little junk in her trunk, thanks to a Pull-Up.

Someone decided to apply her own sunscreen.

Enjoying a rare, yet wonderful, snuggle with Ella.

He looks so tiny in the high chair!
