Road Trip Weekend

Our family split up and headed different directions this weekend for some fun-filled extended family time. Jeritt, Jack, and Maeve journeyed to Iowa to visit Aunt Jill, Uncle Adam, Ava, and Reid; Grandpa Rich; and Grandpa Al. According to the photos Jeritt posted below, they had a blast! Ella and I made a road trip to St. Louis to meet our newest niece, Alice. Uncle Sam made the trip as well, and we had a great weekend with him and Erin, Martin, Alice, and of course, Arlene. The kids did miss each other, so it was fun to see them reunited tonight.

I asked Jack to smile.  We're getting closer.

Jack built a lego tower.  He was very proud of it.

Elevator going to the top.

The penthouse.

Finished product.

We took one of our sunflowers back to Iowa to put next to Grandma Nee-ma's grave.

Playtime begins at Aunt Jill's.

Plenty of gator rides.

Jack has a guilty face....

I caught Maeve jumping off.

Reid was a great helper all weekend.

Golf time.

We took Grandpa Al's gator to Bixby.

Ice cave.

Jack took the rock bridge on the way back.

Not on the way there...

Gator ride with Grandpa Al.

It was too cold to boat so we found an indoor water park.

Cousin Reid taught Jack how to "arm pit fart".  Jack laughed uncontrollably.

Maeve ran and brought me her shoes on Sunday morning b/c she wanted to go back outside.

Maeve actually hit the pedal and started  todrive.  Jack thought it was pretty funny.

We stopped by Bernice and Clay's on the way home.  Clay showed Jack all of his pipes.  There were a lot.

Needless to say, everyone was pooped on the way home.

This creepy photo is of Maeve and her baby.
Thankfully, Jack was more interested in the pipes on the roof than the eclipse, so Ella didn't have to share her glasses.
Ella attended a couple of mornings of craft camp and made a pillow and a purse. She loved it!

Ella and her buddies were racing bikes and then challenged each other on the monkey bars.

Pajamas at the park.

Ella finally got to meet her new niece, Alice!

Ella raided Aunt Erin's jewelry.

We had a great Mom/Ella weekend. I'm going to miss her next week when she's back at school!

Playing at a park.

Such a sweetie.

Uncle Sam and the girls (Arlene included).

Out for breakfast!

Ella really wanted to go swimming, and Aunt Erin and Uncle Martin had a great pool hook-up!

Erin, Ella, and Alice (tucked in the wrap).

We miss this face already!
