Weekend in Iowa and Austin!

Last weekend, I traveled south to Texas to meet our newest addition to the family - Lucy Elizabeth. It was so great to spend time with the Pickens crew! While I was gone, Jeritt took the kids back to Iowa to see his side of the family. As a result, he has a lot of photos to share:)

Date night with Dad.

Maeve is into super heroe for the time being.  This is her hideout.

Siphon water drill.  What kid doesn't love doing this.
Jack is starting to show interest in piano.  He even woke up early before our trip to Iowa to play.

Tower time.

Ella's school had a father daughter dance. She was so excited she started doing her hair right when she got home from school.

Then the professional came over.  Ella was very lucky Abbie was available.

Farm time.

A lot of time spent playing in the snow.

Action shot.  You will notice the snowball that Ella was holding in the prior picture in mid-air.

Walking with Uncle Dan to see the cows.

Back to the snow pile.

Tractor time.

Hanging out at Uncle Dan's house.

Very happy with his chocolate mustache.

Reid introduced Jack and Ella to Nerf guns.  They were big fans...

And then it was time to wrestle.

And always ends with somebody hitting their head.

Big kisses for Cousin Ava!

This is what your hair looks like when it is just dad.

Dinner time with Grandpa Al.

Ava's turn to wrestle.

Needless to say, they were tired.

Early morning sledding.

Maeve was a huge fan of Beags.

Game time.

Jack made an awesome picture of me.

Ella and Reid made a pretty amazing car.  They worked really well together.

Maeve's turn to color.

Afternoon movie with Aunt Jill.

Waiving to Ava and Reid as they get on the bus.

You can tell it is a good weekend if Jack falls asleep within 20 minutes.

Jack found Great Grandmas tool to pick things up.  He loved it.

Action sequence of Maeve running to get her boot back.

Great Grandpa helping teach Ella how to sew.

Ella looks way too old in this photo.

Maeve was excited to be back home.

We let Ella and Jack watch the Michael Jackson Thriller video.  This is what came next.

Just carrying her little sister.
