Picnics in February

Spring made a brief appearance this week, and all of Chicago took notice. Only in the Midwest will you find the parks bursting with kids in hats and mittens, basking in the 40 degree sunshine.

A little reader already. She loves to "read" books in bed like her big sister.
Never a dull moment.

An alternative way to rider her skateboard.

Jeritt took the kids to a ninja warrior play place over the weekend.

A picture of me and Lucy from my trip to Austin two weeks ago.

My Texas baby girls:)

Maeve being goofy.

Jack and I watched curling during the Olympics, so he tried to create the event at home.

After watching the ski jump, he tried to convince me to throw him into the air so he could fly like they did on TV.

Maeve and her friend, Mason, reading together.

We took advantage of the warm days this week to maximize our park time!

Yes, it was even warm enough for a picnic.

A coffee break with my best errand-running buddy.

Getting cozy in the tent in the basement.

I'm not opposed to bribery if necessary during our errands...

Jack was a little pooped during karate the other night. They work hard!

More reading.

Karate kids!
