What a fun week! On Monday we babysat our cousin, Jace, and the kids had fun playing together. Later in the week Ella and Jack accompanied me to my 16-week doctor's appointment. Ella got to help the doctor find the baby's heartbeat, which she loved. She's been busy making all sorts of pictures and gifts for the baby - she is so excited! We were cooking in the kitchen on Friday morning, preparing for the bake sale at Ella's school. And that evening we hosted Abbie and Eric, who were in town visiting, as well as Jeff, Kristin, and Jace, and Erin and Martin. Today was full of running (literally), running errands (including hair cuts), and a trip to Scooter's for ice cream.

Jace came to visit!

Ella's artistic abilities have suddenly improved to the point that her family portraits are truly recognizable!

In this one, I'm the one with the blob (baby) in my belly.

All of the hair Ella had cut off - it was so long!

The after!

All week Ella talked about the two of us going on a "girl's run" by ourselves. She was so excited that every morning she woke up early with her running outfit on, so finally on Sunday we went on a run around the block. She was so cute, and it made me really excited for future runs with my best girl!

Stretching before our run.

Girl power!
