An Early Mother's Day Gift

Aunt Erin and Ella wearing the new pjs she gave her.

Grandpa Al was in town this weekend.

Getting ready for a stroll to the grocery store.

My good friend Anna was also in town, Ella is showing off her new trick.

Whether it was her dad's constant coaching, her upcoming four-month birthday, or an early Mother's Day gift, Ella finally figured out the roll. She's been working on it for weeks, pulling her legs up to her chest and rolling sideways, only to get stuck. On Thursday she pushed through and rolled all of the way over, even pulling her little arm out from under her! She was so proud of her new talent that she practiced all weekend - nearly every time I put her down on her back she was on her belly in minutes. I even found her sleeping on her tummy this morning in her crib - the girl is determined! I had a wonderful first Mother's Day, and Ella (with Dad's help, of course) gave me a sweet card and a necklace with her birthstone. We enjoyed the beautiful weather with a few walks, and ended the day with dinner at a pizza place down the street.
