Ella and Jack have been begging to go to work with Dad for months, so this week it finally happened. Ironically, even though we didn't know it until later, it was actually "take your kid to work" day. They made the commute with him and enjoyed breakfast at his office and I picked them after a couple of hours. Since then, Jack keeps telling us that he's got to go to work and take the Metra train, and that he has a lot of work to do. Maeve turned six months this week, and is officially sitting up on her own! Tomorrow is her checkup, so I'll report back with stats next week. Over the weekend we celebrated Aunt Erin's birthday and hosted brunch for Abbie, Eric, Aunt Bernice, Uncle Clay, and Erin and Martin. Despite the terrible weather, we had a great weekend with family and enjoyed seeing everyone!
